Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Tornado Watch Issued, With 70 MPH Wind Gusts, Large Hail Also Possible A Tornado Watch has just been issued for much of the region. It's in effect until 10 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2.  Main threats include the potential for tornadoes, scattered damaging wind gusts up to 70 mph, and isolated large hail. Scattered severe thunderstorms are also expected through around 11 p.m. Sunday. The watch does not currently include New York City or Long Island. Duo Charged With Burglarizing Long Island High School Two men have been charged with burglarizing a Long Island high school. The duo was apprehended around 4:40 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 2 in Hicksville. Two Men Shot, One Fatally, Outside Long Island House Party Two men were shot, one fatally, outside a Long Island house party overnight. The incident happened around 2:10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 2 in Wyandanch. The two were leaving a party at 72 Patton Ave. when they were shot while in the street, Suffolk County Police said. Vehicles Damaged By Gunfire In Norwalk Just Before Similar Incident In Darien An investigation is underway after shots were fired from a vehicle in Norwalk. The incident, on Saturday, Aug. 1, at around 4:45 p.m officers responded to Colonial Village on Suncrest Road. A short time later, shortly before 5 p.m. Saturday, numerous gunshots were fired from a moving motor vehicle in Darien on West Avenue. Suspect Wanted For Stealing Cash Drawer From Restaurant In Fairfield County, Police Say A suspect who stole a cash drawer with a large sum of money from a restaurant in Fairfield County is at large and police are asking the public for help in identifying and finding him. The man broke into Mr. Crab Seafood and Bar on Fairfield Avenue in Bridgeport by throwing a brick through a window around 11:40 p.m. Sunday, July 26, Bridgeport Police said. The suspect, shown above, was last seen walking into the Town of Fairfield, police said.
