Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Missing Long Island Woman Located This story has been updated. A 29-year-old area woman who went missing has been located. Ashley Williams had last been seen on Long Island on 3rd Street, in the village of Lindenhurst, Suffolk County, at 5:45 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22, authorities announced. On Monday night, Feb. 24, Suffolk County Police announced she has been located.

Suspect Charged After Man Seriously Injured In Hit-Run Crash At Long Island Intersection A suspect has been charged after a hit-and-run driver left a man hospitalized in serious condition when he was struck at a busy Long Island intersection, police said. Officers from the Suffolk County Police Department responded to the intersection of Portion Road and North Morris Avenue in Farmingville at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20, where there was a report of an injured pedestrian. Woman, Dog Rescued After Getting Stuck In Long Island Marsh A woman and her dog were pulled to safety after getting stuck in a marsh on Long Island. It happened just after 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22. Two Suffolk County police officers, along with members of the East Moriches Fire Department responded to a 911 call reporting the incident at the end of Bay Street in East Moriches at 2:07 p.m. Officers Michael Pitts and Harrison Dow and East Moriches Fire Department Assistant Chief Robert Kanas threw a rope out to the woman, instructed her to tie it around her waist and pulled her out of the marsh, police said. Woman Dies After House Fire Breaks Out In Westchester Click here for an updated story: ID Released For Woman Who Died In Westchester House Fire A woman died from injuries sustained in an overnight house fire in Westchester. The blaze broke out just before 12:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 22 on the 500 block of Midland Avenue in Rye. The main body of the fire was controlled around 12:50 a.m. The victim was rushed to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead. Firefighters from Rye, Harrison and Mamaroneck responded. Lane Reopens After I-84 Crash This story has been updated. There were delays on a stretch of I-84 following a crash that caused the closure of the left lane for about two hours. Suspect On Loose After Armed Robbery At Long Island Bank A suspect is on the loose after an armed bank robbery on Long Island. It happened just before 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 21 in Valley Stream. The suspect, an unidentified bank entered the TD Bank located at 275 West Merrick Road, approached a teller and demanded money while displaying a firearm, according to Nassau County Police detectives.
