Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Two Suspects Nabbed In Fatal Broad-Daylight Shooting Of Long Island Man Two suspects have been charged in the fatal shooting of a 25-year-old Long Island man in broad daylight. The shooting happened around 3:50 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19 in Copiague. Man Crossing Long Island Intersection Struck, Killed By SUV A man crossing an intersection was killed after being struck by an SUV on Long Island. It happened on Friday, Feb. 21 at 6:10 p.m. in Lindenhurst. Jacek Rogowski, 42, of Lindenhurst, was driving a 2005 Mercedes-Benz SUV westbound on East John Street when his vehicle struck a male pedestrian crossing the street at the intersection of North Indiana Ave., Suffolk County Police said. Police: Man Attempts To Rob Rockland Worker, Steal Gun From Responding Officer's Belt An area man is facing 10 charges, including five felonies, after attempting to rob a worker in an office in the area before attempting to remove a responding officer's gun during a subsequent altercation, police say. Suspect Nabbed After Student Reports Burglary In Progress At College Townhouse In Area A suspect has been nabbed after a student reported a burglary in progress at an occupied Vassar College townhouse. It happened just after midnight on Wednesday, Feb. 19, Town of Poughkeepsie Police said. Officers responded and obtained a description of the suspect. Long Island Motorist Killed After Collision With Minivan, Crash Into Tree A Long Island motorist was killed after colliding with a minivan then crashing into a tree. It happened just before 7 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 21 in Woodmere. While traveling eastbound on Peninsula Boulevard, a 2005 Mercury Sable was in a collision with a 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan near the intersection of Lafayette Drive, Nassau County Police. Animal Believed To Be Mountain Lion Chased By Dogs In North Castle An animal believed to be a mountain lion made its presence felt in Northern Westchester. The incident happened on Saturday, Feb. 15 at around 3 p.m. on Whippoorwill Road near the intersection of Half Mile Road, North Castle Police said. Trump Confidant, Westchester HS Grad Roger Stone Sentenced Roger Stone, a Fairfield County native who graduated from high school in Northern Westchester and has been a longtime adviser and confidant of President Donald Trump, was sentenced to prison for lying to lawmakers investigating Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and other charges.
