Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Young, age 36, had last been seen Saturday, Sept. 16 leaving her residence near Syracuse in the hamlet of Mattydale. Late Monday morning, Sept. 18, state police announced Young was found. Newly Named Tropical Storm Nigel Forms In Busy Atlantic A new system expected to be the next major hurricane of the 2023 Atlantic season now has a name.Tropical Depression 15 strengthened to tropical storm status on Sunday morning, Sept. 17. Fatal Crash: Man Struck By SUV On Hempstead Turnpike In East Meadow One person was killed in an overnight crash on a busy Long Island roadway. It happened around 7:25 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16 in East Meadow. According to Nassau County Police detectives, a 79-year-old man was crossing the roadway in front of 2520 Hempstead Turnpike, when he was struck by a 2017 Lincoln SUV being operated by a 78-year-old man. As a result of the collision, the pedestrian suffered severe trauma and was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead by a staff physician. His name has not yet been released. Third Suspect Nabbed After Murder Of 20-Year-Old In Front Of Valley Stream Storefront A third suspect has been charged in connection to the murder of a 20-year-old near a Long Island storefront. The shooting happened just before 8:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 21 in Valley Stream. The shooter was on 131st Avenue when he fired multiple shots in the direction of the vacant storefront on 85 Ocean Ave., Nassau County Police said.
