Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Fatal Crash: 30-Year-Old ID'd As Victim After Car Strikes Overpass In Brightwaters A 30-year-old was killed in a fiery crash on Long Island. It happened around 4:45 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9 in Brightwaters. The man was driving a 2017 Infiniti sedan northbound on Howells Road when the vehicle left the roadway onto the curb and struck a Sunrise Highway overpass, causing the vehicle to burst into flames, Suffolk County Police said. Fatal Crash: Selden Man ID'd As Victim After Vehicles Collide Near Manorville Intersection One person was killed in a late-morning crash near a Long Island intersection. It happened just before 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9 in Manorville. A Selden man was riding a 2005 Harley-Davidson motorcycle southbound on Clancy Road, near Hampton Vista Drive, when he crossed into the northbound lanes in an attempt to pass other motorcycles, Suffolk County Police said. Second Suspect Nabbed For Murder Of 20-Year-Old In Front Of Valley Stream Storefront A second suspect has been charged with the murder of a 20-year-old near a Long Island storefront. The shooting happened just before 8:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 21 in Valley Stream. The shooter was on 131st Avenue when he fired multiple shots in the direction of the vacant storefront on 85 Ocean Ave., Nassau County Police said.
