Former Fire Chief, Business Owner From Port Chester Dies A village in Westchester is mourning the loss of a longtime business owner who rose to important positions in the community's fire department.  Lifelong Port Chester resident Robert "Tee" Thalheimer died on Friday, Aug. 11 at the age of 76, according to his obituary.  Thalheimer, the former Chief of the Port Chester Fire Department, was born in the village in 1946 and graduated from Port Chester High School in 1964.  After his graduation, Thalheimer began a career in carpentry working for Byram Builders before becoming a diesel mechanic for Consolidated Diesel…

Duo In Runaway Stolen Car Caught On Taconic State Parkway In Yorktown, Police Say A man and woman both face charges after they were caught on a Northern Westchester parkway in a stolen vehicle that had been driving from the scene of a crime, police said.  The incident happened on Saturday, Aug. 5 just before 1:15 p.m., when Yorktown Police were notified of a stolen vehicle driving north on the Taconic State Parkway that had allegedly been involved in a crime committed in New York City.
