29-Year-Old Threatens Victim With Machete In Region, Police Say A 29-year-old man was nabbed for attacking another person with a machete on a busy street in the region. The incident took place in Sullivan County around 9 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 4 on Main Street in the Village of Liberty. According to Liberty Police, a dispatcher monitoring the department's Main Street surveillance cameras spotted what appeared to be two people involved in a fight. Officers were dispatched and upon their arrival saw Brandon Luciano, of Callicoon, with a machete in his hand menacing another person, police said. 32-Year-Old Accused Of Assaulting Trooper After Crash In Hudson Valley A Hudson Valley man is behind bars after he allegedly attacked a New York State trooper and fought with others following his arrest for DWI. The incident took place in Orange County around 11 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 8, at 11 p.m. at the Wallkill Rest Area off I-84 in Wallkill. Upon arrival, troopers found a 2013 Honda Civic parked in a handicapped parking spot with a flat tire. Troopers spoke with a man standing next to the vehicle identified as David D. Know Her? Woman Wanted In Connection To Incident In Hudson Valley Police in the Hudson Valley are asking the public for help locating a woman in connection with an incident last week. The incident, took place in Dutchess County around 5:30 p.m. in Beacon on Friday, Sept. 2. The city of Beacon Police says the incident involved the woman putting bags sitting in a lobby in her bag. 12 Injured In Crash Near CT Intersection A dozen people were hospitalized in Connecticut after a transit bus was rear-ended by a pickup truck. The crash took place in New Haven County around 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 8, in the town of Orange on Route 34 near the intersection with Racebrook Road. An initial investigation revealed that a Connecticut Transit bus was stopped for a red light when it was hit from the rear by a pickup truck, said the Orange Police Department. Police Investigating Smash-Grab Incident At Yonkers Jewelry Store Police in Westchester County are searching for a group of smash-and-grab thieves who allegedly targeted a jewelry store. The incident took in Yonkers on Wednesday, Sept. 7 at a jewelry store on Central Avenue. According to Yonkers Police, the group may be connected to a similar incident in a jurisdiction north of Yonkers. 3 Killed After Car Crashes Into Pole In Front Of Local Fire Department's Headquarters In NY Three men were killed on Long Island after the alleged stolen car they were driving crashed into a utility pole. The crash occurred in Brookhaven around 7:50 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 8 in front of the Brookhaven Fire Department at 2486 Montauk Highway. Teen Duo Nabbed In Mount Pleasant With Gun Following Chase, Police Say Two teens were nabbed for allegedly having a weapon following a chase in Northern Westchester. The incident took place on Wednesday, Sept. 7 on the Saw Mill River Parkway in Mount Pleasant. According to the Westchester County Police, officers attempted to stop the teens after receiving notice from the state police they were driving a vehicle without a license. Northern Westchester Man Nabbed With Fentanyl, Crack Cocaine, Authorities Say A man was arrested on narcotics charges during a routine traffic stop in the region. Northern Westchester resident William E. Felling, age 40, of Somers, was arrested on Friday, Sept. 2 in Putnam County on Route 6 in the town of Southeast. During the stop an investigation found Felling was in possession of a quantity of fentanyl and crack cocaine, said Putnam County Sheriff Kevin J. McConville. Felling was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was released on his own recognizance, pending a return court date on Thursday, Sept. 15.

Second Suspect Charged For Shooting Death Of Man In Bridgeport, Police Say Police have arrested a Fairfield County man in connection with the alleged killing of a Connecticut man who was gunned down during a robbery of $130 and cellphones. James Howard, 28, of Bridgeport, was arrested on Wednesday, Sept. 7, in connection with the Saturday, Aug. 13 murder of New Haven County resident Troy Walker, age 21, of Ansonia, on Knowlton Street. Man Extradited From Hawaii For CT Homicide More than 11 years after the crime, a suspect is facing charges for his involvement in the 2011 murder of a Connecticut man. Andrew Spino, age 34, was extradited from Hawaii, where he was in jail on unrelated charges, by US Marshals to New Haven County in connection with the March 2011 murder of Isaia Hernandez in Ansonia.
