Suspect Caught After Man Beaten In Main Street Robbery In Hudson Valley A 42-year-old Hudson Valley resident has been charged with a brutal beating and robbery of another man. The incident took place in the city of Poughkeepsie around 12:45 a.m. on Saturday, July 23. Three Firefighters Injured After Blaze Breaks Out At Woodmere Home Three firefighters were injured battling a blaze at a Long Island home. The fire broke out in Woodmere around 4:15 p.m., Monday, July 25.at an unoccupied residence located at 227 Mosher Ave. Upon arrival, responders discovered the home engulfed in flames, Nassau County Police said. Man Wanted By Feds Nabbed In Stamford, Cops Say A Fairfield County man wanted by US Marshalls for parole violations was nabbed after a foot chase through an area train station. String Of Thefts From Vehicles Reported At Parks In New Canaan Police are searching for suspects after five vehicles had items stolen at two parks in Fairfield County. The incidents took place in New Canaan beginning around 12:30 p.m., Sunday, July 24 at Irwin and Waveny parks. The incident took place in the hamlet of Riverside around 10:45 a.m., Monday, July 25 on Riverleigh Avenue. One Injured In Shots-Fired Incident In Area, Police Say One person was injured during a shots-fired incident in the area. It happened in Orange County around 1:30 a.m., Saturday, July 23 in Newburgh, on Liberty Street. According to Newburgh Police, officers responded to the area of 79 Liberty St. for a Shotspotter report of five shots fired. 40-Year-Old Killed After Car Skids Off Road, Crashes Into Two Poles, Police Say A Connecticut man was killed after losing control of his car, skidding off the roadway and striking two utility poles, according to authorities Windham County resident, Luis Enrique Aguilar-Ceron, age 40, of Canterbury, was killed in Tolland County around 11:20 p.m., Saturday, July 23 in the town of Stafford.
