Woman Drowns In Backyard Pool At Mount Sinai Home Police are investigating after a woman was found dead from drowning in a backyard pool on Long Island. The incident took place in Mount Sinai around 7:50 p.m., Thursday, July 21. Kihee Kim, age 94, was found when officers responded to a home on Kingston Road for an unresponsive person in a pool, said Suffolk County Police. Kim, who was staying at the home with a relative, was transported to John T. Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson via ambulance where she was pronounced dead.

Tolland County resident Sgt.1st Class Michael D. Clark, of the town of Bolton, died on Wednesday, July 20, at Fort Gordon, in Augusta, Georgia. Peekskill Resident Nabbed With Gun In Carry-On At Westchester Airport, Officials Say A Westchester County man was caught with a loaded handgun in his carry-on baggage at an area airport.  The Peekskill resident was stopped in White Plains at the Westchester County Airport by Transportation Security Administration officers.
