Woman Admits To Hitting, Choking, Smothering CT Child, Arrest Warrant Says
A Connecticut woman has been charged with allegedly slapping, smothering, and choking her 16-month-old son.
The arrest took place in New London County in East Lyme, at 7 a.m. Tuesday, June 7.
Katie Ann Nichols, age 36, was charged with negligent cruelty to persons, risk of injury to a child, and reckless endangerment, following an investigation, said Chief Michael Finkelstein, of the East Lyme Police.

Missing Trumbull Boy, Age 10, Found Safe, Police Say

Police in Fairfield County have located a 10-year-old boy who had not been seen in more than a day.
The boy went missing from Trumbull around noon on Monday, June 6, he was found safe on Tuesday, June 7, said Lt. Brian Weir, of the Trumbull Police.
"We thank everyone for their assistance in his safe return," Weir said.
On Tuesday around noon, the missing 10-year-old boy, Jeffrey Hachey Jr., had been safely located at the Westfield Trumbull Mall, Weir said.

Long Island Man Charged With Ripping Off Customers For More Than $325K, DA Says
A Long Island businessman has been charged with grand larceny for the alleged theft of more than $325,000 from some of his customers and a payroll company.
Mark Ripolone, age 34, of Montauk, was arrested on Monday, June 6, and charged with five counts of grand larceny, said Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney.
Ripolone owned “123 Delivery,” a food delivery service, and “Hampton Management Group Inc.,” a beach service company that specialized in providing luxury beach chair setups and decorations for special events, the DA's office said.

Police Searching For Man Who Robbed Long Island Gas Station At Gunpoint
Police are searching for a man who allegedly robbed a Long Island BP gas station at gunpoint.
The incident took place in Valley Stream around 9 p.m. on Sunday, June 5, at 85 N. Central Ave.
According to detectives, an unknown man entered the BP gas station, approached the clerk with a handgun, went behind the counter, and demanded money.
The clerk complied and the man left the scene southbound on foot with an undetermined amount of cash, Nassau County Police said.

Fight Breaks Out At Key Foods Store In Western Mass
One man was arrested for fleeing from police and having a loaded gun following a fight with another man at a grocery store in Western Massachusetts.
The incident took place in Hampden County around 5:45 p.m., Thursday, June 2 at the Key Foods in Holyoke located at 13 Cabot St.
Police responded to the store after receiving a complaint of two men involved in a fight, with one having a gun, said Capt. Matthew Moriarty, of the Holyoke Police.
