Man Rescued From Bethel Trench Collapse By Rescuers Who Dug By Hand A worker is in serious condition after being buried up to his neck in a trench collapse that had rescuers digging by hand at times to save the man. The incident took place in Northern Fairfield County around 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11 in Bethel on Budd Drive in the Stony Hill district. Assault During Argument Leads To Westport Man's Arrest, Police Say A Fairfield County man was charged with assault after allegedly attacking two people during an argument. The incident took place in Westport, around 9:15 a.m., on Sunday, April 10. Akhmad Nasution, age 50, of Westport, turned himself in to police on Tuesday, May 10, and was charged with disorderly conduct, said Lt. David Wolf, of the Westport Police. An investigation into the incident found that Nasution assaulted two individuals during an argument, Wolf said. Nasution was held on a $5,000 bond.
