Two Long Island Men Nabbed For Burglary, Police Say Two Long Island men were nabbed after police responded to a call for an alleged burglary in progress. The incident took place in Riverhead at 625 East Main St., around 8 a.m. on Thursday, April 14. When officers arrived on the scene they located and detained Shareem Giles, age 51, and Saquan Blount, age 23, both of Riverhead after they attempted to flee, said Riverhead Police. Man Found Shot On Street In Area Dies, Police Say An area man who was found with bullets wounds to his torso after police responded to a call for shots fired on a city street has died. The incident took place in the city of Poughkeepsie around 3:55 a.m., Sunday, April 17. The victim, a 29-year-old Poughkeepsie resident, was found shot in the torso in front of 135 Mill St., said Det. Lt. Matt Clark, of the City of Poughkeepsie Police. Ulster County resident Vivian Letizia, age 63, of Stone Ridge, made the plea on Friday, April 15, according to US Attorney Carla Freedman. In pleading guilty, Letizia admitted that, in December 2019, she fraudulently submitted a prescription for oxycodone for one of her dentistry patients using that patient’s name and date of birth, the US Attorney's Office said.
