She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Woman Found Dead After CT Apartment Fire Breaks Out A Connecticut woman was found dead inside a third-floor apartment following a fire. The Hartford County woman was found around 8 p.m., Monday, March 21, in East Windsor following the fire at a multi-family home on Church Street. When firefighters were called shortly before 7:30 p.m. there was a report of “trapped parties on the third floor," the Broad Brook Fire Department said. Horse Pulled From Pool At Suffolk County Home Police rescued a horse from a pool at a Long Island home. The incident took place in Suffolk County around 7:50 a.m., Saturday, March 19, when officers responded to a 911 call of a horse stuck in a pool cover at a home in Bohemia. Police and members of the Bohemia Fire Department responded and pulled the horse, a 3-year-old female named Penny, from the deep end of the pool through the shallow end, said the Suffolk County Police. Woman Killed In Shooting At CT Condo Complex A Connecticut woman was shot and killed outside a condominium complex. A 37-year-old woman was found in New Haven County around 9:25 p.m., Sunday, March 20 in Meriden after police received multiple 911 calls. CT Man Shoots Stepson During Fight, Police Say A Connecticut man has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly shooting his stepson during a dispute. The incident took place in New Haven County around 10 a.m., Sunday, March 20 at a Milford home on Housatonic Drive. Woman, Child Struck By Drunk Driver In SUV, Police Say An area woman and child were injured after being struck by an alleged drunk driver while crossing a roadway in the rain. The incident took place in Orange County around 9:50 p.m., Saturday, March 19, on Route 208 in the town of Monroe. Police Search For Suspect In Armed Robbery At Convenience Store In Pittsfield Police in Western Mass are searching for a man who allegedly robbed a convenience store while threatening the clerk with a knife. ID Released For Man Shot, Killed During Attempted Robbery At CT Motel Police have identified a Connecticut man who was killed while allegedly attempting to rob another man at a motel. Lamar Woodhouse, age 39, of New Haven, was killed early on Thursday, March 17, by the man he was attempting to rob at the Brandford Motel, located on East Main Street, police said. Man Who Left His Cell Phone At Crime Scene Nabbed For Gas Station Burglary In Hudson Valley An area man who allegedly left his cell phone and personal papers at the scene of a gas station robbery has been charged with the crime. He was arrested on Friday, March 18, in Ulster County after robbing a Sunoco gas station in the Saugerties.
