She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Community Rallies To Support Family Of 22-Year-Old Area Murder Victim The community is showing its support for the family of a Hudson Valley man stabbed to death during a dispute with a friend. Orange County resident Nicholas Lacatena, age 22, of Campbell Hall, was killed around 7:30 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 20, in the city of Middletown when he was stabbed to death during a dispute. To help cover the cost of his funeral, a GoFundMe effort has been started by his grandmother Sheryl Dandorf. "Today we lost our beloved grandson Nicholas. 15-Year-Old Girl Killed In I-684 Crash New York State Police are investigating after a 15-year-old girl was killed during a two-vehicle crash. It happened around 1:30 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 20 on I-684 in Westchester near the I-287 merger in Harrison. According to Trooper AJ Hicks, officers responded to the crash which occurred when the driver of a 2018 Hyundai Sonata hit a median guide rail and was later struck by a second vehicle. CT Teacher Accused Of Leaving Children At Home Arrested On New Charge A Connecticut school teacher who was arrested for allegedly leaving two children alone has been arrested again on a domestic violence charge. Litchfield County resident, Kerry Caviasca, age 36, of Watertown, was arrested on Wednesday, Feb. 16 by Waterbury Police in New Haven County for an incident that occurred earlier this year. Suspect Nabbed After Fatal Stabbing Of 22-Year-Old In Area A Hudson Valley man has been arrested for the alleged stabbing murder of another area man during a dispute. Support Pours In For Family Of Suffolk County Mother Killed In House Fire Support is pouring for a Long Island infant who was injured during a house fire that killed his mother and seriously injured his father. A GoFundMe account has been set up for 10-month-old Leo Ortner who was injured during the fire just after midnight on Friday, Feb. 18, at the family's East Setauket home. Woman Killed After Vehicle Crashes Into CT Residence A Connecticut woman was killed after losing control of her vehicle and crashing into a mobile home. The incident took place in New London County just before 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 18, in Groton. Man Charged With Traveling To Fairfield County To Have Sex With Minor, Police Say A Connecticut man was nabbed in a sting for allegedly setting up a meeting to have sex with a minor in Fairfield County. Sex Offender Wanted In Two States Nabbed At Mall In Region, Police Say A sex offender wanted in two states was nabbed after police responded to a Hudson Valley mall for a man acting "disorderly." Alert Issued For CT Woman Wanted On Nine Warrants Totaling $25K In Bonds Know her? Police in one Connecticut town have issued an alert asking the public for help locating a woman who is wanted on nine warrants. The Enfield Police said on Wednesday, Feb. 9, that Nicolette Williams, of Hartford County, currently has nine warrants for her arrest totaling $25,000 in bonds.
