She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Fairfield County Man Accused Of Operating Drug Factory A Fairfield County man was busted for allegedly operating a drug factory after police received complaints of drug dealing in the area. Felipe "Savi" Rosa, age 32, of Danbury, was arrested on Thursday, Feb. 17 following the execution of search warrants in Danbury. According to Det. Lt. Mark Williams, of the Danbury Police Department, members of the special investigations division, patrol division, and the DEA task force executed the warrant on Rosa's home and car. Student Injuries Reported In Westchester School Bus Crash Five students and two adults aboard a school bus were taken to an area hospital following a crash in Westchester County. The crash took place around 9:30 a.m., Friday, Feb. 18 northbound on the Hutchinson River Parkway in the area of Wolf's Lane in Pelham, near the Mount Vernon border. According to Kieran O'Leary, spokesman for the Westchester County Police, a small school bus was involved in a collision with another vehicle. Five students and two adults aboard the bus were transported to Jacobi Hospital in the Bronx for evaluation and treatment of minor injuries, he added.

Woman Sentenced In $143,000 Nassau County Fraud Scheme A Long Island woman has been sentenced to 364 days in jail for stealing more than $143,000 from an agency that provides services to children with developmental delays. Nassau County District Attorney Anne T. Donnelly announced on Tuesday, Feb. 15 the sentencing of Suffolk County resident Patricia Sales, age 46, of Huntington Station, who stole the money while she worked at All About Kids as its director of finance. Man Rescued From Apartment Fire In Area A man who was seriously injured was rescued from an apartment fire by a brave neighbor and two workers in the area. The incident took place in Dutchess County around 9:45 a.m., on Wednesday, Feb. 16 in Pleasant Valley. One Dead Following Shooting In Area, Police Say Police are investigating after a man was found shot to death in the area. The shooting took place in Dutchess County around 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 17 at 49 Gifford Ave., in the City of Poughkeepsie. According to Det. Sgt. Sean Fitzgerald, of the City of Poughkeepsie Police, arriving officers found a 37-year-old man with a gunshot wound. Woman Killed, Man, Infant Injured After House Fire Breaks Out In Suffolk County Police are investigating after a woman was killed and a man and an infant were seriously injured during a Long Island house fire. Suffolk County Police responded to the fire just after midnight on Friday, Feb. 18 at 360 Old Town Road, in East Setauket after receiving a 911 call. 'High-Ranking' Fairfield County Fire Official Accused Of Sexual Assault, Police Say A “high-ranking” member of a Fairfield County fire department has been put on administrative leave after a mother reported her daughter being sexually assaulted by the official. One Killed, One Injured In Suffolk Home Invasion, Police Say One person was killed and another injured during a home invasion on Long Island. The incident took place around 3:45 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 17, in Suffolk County at a Coram home. According to the Suffolk County Police, multiple people broke into the home at 5 Everglades Lane and shot Eric Westby, a resident of the home, and beat a woman with a pistol. Suspect From Hampden County Nabbed After Stabbing At Walmart In Western Mass A Western Massachusetts was arrested after allegedly stabbing a Walmart employee.
