Area Man Arrested For Shooting Death, State Police Say An area man has been arrested for allegedly shooting and killing another man. Ulster County resident Walter D. Post Jr., age 26, of Shawangunk, was arrested on Tuesday, Jan. 11, for the shooting death which took place around 5 a.m., said New York State Police. According to Trooper Steven Nevel, the victim was found when troopers from the Ellenville barracks responded to Vinegar Hill Road in the town of Shawangunk for a report of a shooting. Massive Four-Alarm Hudson Valley Fire Shuts Down Area Roadway A massive four-alarm fire at a two-story commercial building has closed a busy Huson Valley roadway. The fire, which started around 6:30 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 12, in Rockland County at 83 Lafayette Ave., in Suffern, has closed the roadway from Chestnut Street to Washington Avenue, said the Ramapo Police. Numerous fire departments are on the scene. Motorists are asked to avoid the area. No word yet of any injuries or what businesses are located in the building. This is a developing story. CT Woman Killed In Four-Vehicle Crash On I-84, State Police Say A Connecticut woman was killed and four others seriously injured during a four-car crash on I-84. The crash took place in Hartford County around 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11 in Farmington, said the Connecticut State Police. IDs, Ages Released For 17 Killed In NYC Apartment Fire The final list of names of those who perished in a massive fire in a New York City apartment building that claimed the lives of 17 people, has been released. The names of the last three victims were released by the NYPD Wednesday, Jan. 12. The youngest was 2 years old. The victims ranged in age from 2 to 50 years old. Covid-19: Fairfield County Testing Site Moved A Fairfield County COVID-19 testing site has moved and will be offering tests on a first-come, first-serve basis. The City of Norwalk advises residents that starting on Wednesday, Jan. 12, COVID-19 testing will be relocated from Veteran’s Park to Shady Beach in Norwalk. Testing will continue to be available seven days per week with no appointment necessary at the new testing location. Car Crashes Into House With Sleeping Mother, Son Inside In Connecticut One person was injured after the driver of a Dodge Durango hit an icy patch and slammed into a house with a sleeping mother and son inside. 15-Year-Old Arrested For CT Homicide A 15-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with an alleged homicide in Connecticut over the weekend. The killing of a 17-year-old took place around 2:45 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 9 in the area of 25 Westbrook St., in East Hartford. Police Seeking Public's Help Identifying Suspects In Fairfield County Homicide Police in Fairfield County are requesting the public’s assistance in the homicide of a 22-year-old man. Benjamin Bagley, age 22, of Bridgeport, was shot, ambush-style around 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 17, on Union Avenue, said the Bridgeport Police. When Bridgeport officers arrived on the scene they located Bagley suffering from multiple gunshot wounds at 100 Blackstone St. He later died at Bridgeport Hospital, police said. Suspects Dressed As Amazon Workers In CT Home Invasion, Police Say Police in Connecticut are investigating a home invasion in which two men dressed as Amazon employees forced their way into a home. The incident happened mid-morning on Monday, Jan. 10 in New Haven County at a home in Milford.
