She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Popular Family-Run Supermarket To Open Two New Westchester Locations A popular Westchester supermarket is set to open two new locations in the area. Fans of the specialty grocery store will be happy to know that DeCicco & Sons recently announced its plans to open a new market in Bedford in March. The new store will be the 10th store for the chain which also has an 11th location planned for Edge-on-Hudson in Sleepy Hollow.  No word yet on when that store will open. Other DeCicco & Sons stores in the area include Ardsley, Armonk, Brewster, Eastchester, Harrison, Larchmont, Millwood, Pelham, and Somers.

Sullivan County resident Joseph Detzauer, age 37, of Fallsburg, was arrested on Wednesday, Jan. 12, for the murder of Marilyn Torres, age 61, also of Fallsburg on Sunday, Jan. 9, said the New York State Police. Troopers responded to a residence on Loch Sheldrake Road in the town of Falls around 1:45 p.m., for a report of domestic violence. The robbery took place in Yonkers on Wednesday, Dec. 22, when a group of men robbed an Amazon delivery truck in Yonkers, said FBI agents and detectives from the Yonkers Police Department. The robbers were wearing masks and one was armed with a gun.
