The vandalism was reported in Middletown from a passing motorist who told them someone had spray painted the sign and other areas of the Indian Hill Cemetery in Middlesex County. According to Lt. Person Struck, Killed By Car On Residential Roadway In Area A person was killed after being were hit by a vehicle in a residential neighborhood in the area. The incident was reported around 5:16 a.m., Monday, Oct. 11 in Ulster County. Officers responded to a 911 call of a reported car/pedestrian accident in the area of 61 South Ohioville Road in the Town of New Paltz. According to New Paltz Police Chief Robert Lucchesi, the preliminary investigation indicates the victim was in the northbound lane of the roadway and was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound on South Ohioville Road.  The pedestrian was declared dead at the scene. …

Doctor Killed In Head-On, Hit-Run Hudson Valley Crash A doctor from the Hudson Valley was killed in a head-on hit-and-run crash. The incident took place around 12:20 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 10, in Orange County on Route 32 in the town of Cornwall. According to Trooper Steven Nevel, Dr. John C. Hordines Jr., age 54, was driving a 2010 Chevy Tahoe southbound when he was hit head-on by a 2013 Honda Accord that crossed over in the southbound lane. The crash took place around 9 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 10, at North Avenue and French Street in Bridgeport near the Citgo gas station. Duo Nabbed For Armed Robbery In Region Two Western Massachusetts men were arrested after allegedly robbing a man at gunpoint at an area car wash.
