Long Island Man Holds Box Cutter To Throat Of Drug Store Employee, Demands Meds, Police Say
A Long Island man who allegedly held a box cutter to the throat of a pharmacy employee and demanded drugs has been arrested by police.
The incident took place around 4:40 p.m., Tuesday, June 22 at the Keezac Pharmacy on Bedford Avenue in Bellmore.
According to Nassau County Police Robbery Squad detectives, a man, identified, as Patrick Devine, age 33, of Bellmore, entered Keezac Pharmacy, displayed a box cutter, and placed it to the neck of a female employee, and demanded prescription pain medication.

Alert Issued For Missing Long Island Woman
Police on Long Island are asking the public for help locating a vulnerable woman who has been missing for more than two weeks.
Maria Antonia Mejia, age 84, was last seen leaving her residence in Hempstead around 8 a.m., on Monday, June 7.
She was not reported missing to Nassau County Police until Tuesday, June 22.
According to detectives, Mejia is described as being Hispanic, 5-foot-1, 130 lbs., with white hair and brown eyes.

CT State Trooper Faces DUI Charge In Fairfield County
A Connecticut State Police trooper has been arrested for driving under the influence and other charges in Fairfield County.
Trooper Andrew Murphy was arrested by Bethel Police around 2:10 a.m., Sunday, June 20, after an officer spotted him in a parking lot stumbling and apparently intoxicated, said Bethel PD Lt. Robert J. Durkin.
The officer spoke with Murphy and instructed him not to drive his vehicle, which was parked, Durkin said.
"Murphy disregarded the officer, entered his vehicle, and began driving," he said.
