Woman Injured When Dragged From Her Vehicle By Carjackers In Fairfield County, Police Say A Fairfield County woman who fell asleep in her vehicle was injured when she awoke to find two men dragging her out of the car. The incident took place around 3:15 a.m., Tuesday, June 1, when the Greenwich woman was sleeping in her vehicle in the area of East Putnam Avenue and Milbank Avenue, said Greenwich PD Captain Mark E. Zuccerella. The woman woke to the sight of two men removing her from the vehicle, according to Zuccerella. "The victim yelled at the subjects to stop," he said. Fairfield County Woman Claims $100,000 Connecticut Lottery Prize A super lucky Fairfield County woman is $100,000 richer after picking the correct numbers on a Cash 5 ticket. Willodene Allen, of Stratford, won the cash on Thursday, May 27, according to the Connecticut State Lottery. The ticket was purchased at the E Hampton Grocery in Hamden, the lottery said. Fairfield County Daycare Worker Charged After Baby Suffers Traumatic Brain Injury, Police Say A Fairfield County daycare worker has been arrested after a six-month-old baby suffered a traumatic brain injury allegedly while in her care. On Tuesday, Feb. 9, Wilton Police dispatch received a 911 call from the Goddard School at 385 Danbury Road (Route 7) in Wilton, regarding a 6-month-old boy who was breathing, but unresponsive, said Lieutenant Gregg Phillipson. Woman Critically Injured After Being Hit By Vehicle On Long Island, Police Say A pedestrian was critically injured after being hit by a vehicle on Long Island. The woman was struck about 11:45 p.m., Sunday, May 30 while crossing the roadway Front Street in Hempstead, said the Nassau County Police. According to detectives, a 27-year-old woman was driving a 2007 Honda eastbound in the area of 555 Front St. and struck the woman who was crossing Front Street northbound. Long Island Man Driving Drunk Strikes 3-Year-Old, Adult, Police Say A Long Island man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after hitting two pedestrians, including a 3-year-old girl, police said. Datt Varum, age 36, of Syosset, was arrested around 4:40 p.m., Monday, May 31, on Ann Drive in Syosset. Man Charged With Cocaine Possession After Northern Westchester Traffic Stop, Police Say A man was arrested for alleged felony cocaine possession following a traffic stop in Northern Westchester. Dutchess County resident Daniel R. Usher, age 31, of Beacon, was arrested on Saturday, May 22, when New York State Police pulled over his 2012 Subaru Impreza on Route 9 in Croton-On-Hudson, said Trooper AJ Hicks.
