Social Media Stars' Visit To Fairfield County Pizzeria Shuts Down Eatery
When a couple who have become famous on social media ducked into a uber-popular pizzeria in Connecticut for a bite, the eatery ended up having to close its doors.
That's what happened on Sunday, May 30 in Fairfield County, when the TikTok tandem of Dixie D’Amelio and Noah Beck paid a visit to Locali Pizza Bar & Kitchen in New Canaan, according to Jamie Caceres, a waiter at the restaurant.

Missing Man Identified As Person Found In CT River, DA Says
A body discovered by a kayaker in the Connecticut River has been identified as that of a missing 67-year-old Western Massachusetts man, who hasn't been seen in nearly two months.
Northwestern District Attorney spokeswoman Laurie Loisel confirmed the body was that of Franklin County resident Geoffrey Arthur, of Sutherland, who was reported missing on Monday, March 29.
Arthur, who was known as “Randy,” had last been seen by his family on Sunday, March 28, said the Sunderland Police.

Duo Busted With Large Gun Stash During Raid In Fairfield County, Police Say
Two men were busted with drugs and guns during a warrant raid in Fairfield County.
Jamar Traylor, age 20, and Michael Lockhart, age 21, both of Bridgeport, were arrested on Tuesday, June 1, by Bridgeport Task Force officers working in conjunction with Adult Probation, said Scott Appleby, director of Emergency Management.
The bust went down after Task Force officers received credible information that Traylor was in possession of several illegal firearms along with high-capacity magazines.

Long Island Man Accused Of Stealing Sneakers At Knifepoint, Police Say
A Long Island man was arrested after allegedly stealing a pair of sneakers from a man he was supposed to buy them from.
Alexander Almonte, age 20, was arrested around 4:50 p.m., Tuesday, June 1, by Nassau County Police in Bethpage.
According to detectives, the victim, a 20-year-old man, agreed to sell sneakers to an Almonte through Facebook Marketplace.
Both agreed to meet at the 7-Eleven located at 4220 Hempstead Turnpike. As the victim was showing the sneakers to Almonte he grabbed the sneakers and ran southbound on Seitz Drive, police said.

Police have identified a man who was found shot to death on a Hudson Valley roadway on Memorial Day.
Tyriq Seward, an 18-year-old former Rockland County resident who lived in South Carolina, was killed around 9:50 p.m., Monday, May 31, in Spring Valley.
A Spring Valley Police officer was on patrol on Crispus Attucks Road and heard multiple gunshots in the area, Detective Matthew Galli said.
Responding officers found Seward, formerly of Spring Valley, lying in the roadway on Rose Avenue where he was pronounced dead, Galli said.

A man who is in custody for a shooting spree in Connecticut is alleged to be "directly related" to the shots fired at the State Capitol.

Police Release Details On Rollover Crash That Seriously Injured Northern Westchester Woman
State Police have released new details on a crash in which a 70-year-old Northern Westchester woman was seriously injured and a dog killed.
Paulette L. Milligan, was driving a Chevy Aveo eastbound around 9:15 a.m., Tuesday, June 1, when she attempted to pass a 2017 Jeep Cherokee on Route 6 in Somers near Windsor Road, said New York State Trooper AJ Hicks.
Milligan, of Somers, struck the Jeep, then moved back to the right, struck the guide rail, overturned, and came to rest on the opposite side of the guide rail in an earth embankment, Hicks said.
