She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

21-Year-Old Found Shot Dead In Area, Police Say A 21-year-old man was found shot to death in the area. The man was found around 1 a.m., Friday, May 28,  in the City of Poughkeepsie Police, at a home on Washington Street. The man was immediately transported by ambulance to MidHudson Regional Hospital where he later died, said City of Poughkeepsie PD Det. Lt. Three Killed, One Critically Injured In Apparent CT Murder-Suicide, Police Say Three people were killed and another critically injured after an apparent murder-suicide in Connecticut. The incident took place around 1 a.m., Friday, May 29, in Hartford County. Police received a report of multiple people shot in Windsor Locks, on Lownds Drive. Driver Seriously Injured After Crash With Tractor-Trailer On I-84 The driver of a Mustang was seriously injured after crashing with a tractor-trailer on a stretch of I-84 and becoming trapped. The crash took place in Orange County around 10:15 p.m., Monday, May 24, near Route 208 and I-84 in Maybrook, said the Montgomery Fire Department. The department, which was working mutual aid with the Maybrook Fire District, and the Montgomery Ambulance Corps, was able to successfully extricate the driver, who was then airlifted to an area hospital.  The driver was reportedly fleeing from police when the crash took place.

The body of Wasique Hasan, age 21, of Easthampton, Massachusetts, was discovered in Hampshire County Friday, May 21, by a boater in Hadley, said the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office.
