She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Suspect On Run After Gunning Down Man In Broad Daylight In Fairfield County Police are on the hunt for a gunman who shot a man in broad daylight on a street in Fairfield County. The incident took place around 12:20 p.m., Thursday, May 20, when the Norwalk Police Department received several 911 calls on the report of shots fired and a man down, said Sgt. Sofia Gulino. Police officers immediately responded and discovered the gunshot victim in the area of 160 Suncrest Road, Gulino said. Local Officer Injured During Unprovoked Attack In Westchester, Police Say A police officer is being treated at an area hospital after being seriously injured in an unprovoked attack in Westchester County. A Dobbs Ferry officer assigned to assist a Con Edison crew was assaulted around 2 p.m., Thursday, May 20, in the area of Keller Lane and Beacon Hill, according to ABC 7. Dobbs Ferry Police did not reveal the severity of the injuries and said it would be releasing more detailed information later. Man Steals Vehicle With Sleeping 9-Year-Old CT Girl In Backseat, Police Say A 9-year-old Hartford girl sleeping inside a vehicle stolen from a Connecticut gas station has been reunited with her mother. The incident took place around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, at the Shell Gas Station located at 404 Hartford Road in Manchester, said Lt. Ryan Shea of the Manchester Police Department. Teen Shot To Death On CT Street, Police Say An 18-year-old Connecticut resident was shot and killed on a city street. The teen was discovered around 7:59 p.m., Wednesday, May 19 when New Haven Police responded to a Shot Spotter notification and several 911 calls, said the New Haven Police. When officers responded to the area of Ella T. Grasso Boulevard, they found the New Haven teen with a single gunshot wound, police said. Western Mass Duo Nabbed With Gun During Traffic Stop, Police Say Two Western Mass men have been arrested for alleged possession of a handgun during a traffic stop. The incident took place around 2:16 a.m., Wednesday, May 19, when a Holyoke Police officer stopped a brown Toyota Corolla for running a stoplight, said Captain Matthew F. Moriarty of the Holyoke PD. Owner Killed Inside Long Island Business, Police Say Homicide detectives are investigating the murder of an owner who was found dead inside his Long Island business. Kinshuk Patel, age 33, of Babylon, the owner of Dapper Smoke Shop, located at 411 40th St., in Lindenhurst, was discovered dead after a family member was unable to contact him and responded to the business at approximately 9:40 p.m., said the Suffolk County Police. Western Mass Man Charged With Attempted Murder After Shooting At Two Women, Police Say A Western Mass man has been apprehended after allegedly shooting at two women and for having more than 54 grams of crack cocaine. Daquan Johnson, age 25, of Springfield, was arrested on Wednesday, May 19 by Springfield Police after they responded to a Shot Spotter activation, said Ryan Walsh, spokesman for the department. Man Accused Of Breaking Into Home In Area Following Eviction, Police Say An area man was arrested for allegedly breaking into an occupied home following his eviction. Ulster County resident Vincent Neglia, age 35, of Saugerties, was arrested on Monday, May 17, after Saugerties Police received a 911 call reporting that a man was breaking items inside the caller's residence, Saugerties Police Chief Joseph A. Driver Injured After Crashing Into Utility Pole In Rockland A driver was injured after crashing into a utility pole in the area. The incident took place around 1:28 p.m., Tuesday, May 18 on College Avenue in Nanuet, Clarkstown Police said. ID Released For Man Shot To Death Inside Home In Fairfield County Police have identified a man who was shot to death inside a home in Fairfield County. Lwidji Brun, age 32, of Stamford, was shot and killed around 2:40 p.m., Tuesday, May 18, said Lt. Tom Scanlon of the Stamford PD. According to Scanlon, officers responded to 90 Ursula Place on a report of a male shot inside of the home. Upon arrival, officers located the victim who had multiple gunshot wounds to the torso.
