Fairfield County Man Accused Of Attacking Pregnant Woman At Area Hotel, Police Say A Fairfield County man was arrested after he allegedly attacked a pregnant woman at an area hotel including punching her and throwing her across the room. Man Shot In Knee In Fairfield County Parking Lot, Police Say A man suffered a gunshot wound to the knee during the early morning hours. The incident took place just after midnight on Tuesday, May 4, in the 2000th Block of Main Street in a parking lot, said Scott Appleby, director of Emergency Management. CT State Troopers Rescue Kidnapping Victim During Traffic Stop, Police Say Connecticut State Police searching for a robbery suspect, saved a kidnapping victim when they stopped the vehicle. The incident took place around 2:42 p.m., Monday, May 3, when troopers assigned to Bridgeport, were contacted by Bethlehem Police Department in Pennsylvania and advised of a robbery suspect traveling through Connecticut. The incident took place in New Haven County around 11:30 p.m., on Sunday, May 2, when the Wolcott Police Department received a 911 call about a car that had just been stolen from the Cumberland Farms, 1655 Meriden Road, with a 5-year-old child inside.
