Emir K. Georges, age 19, of Brooklyn, was arrested around 1:30 p.m., Sunday, April 25 after state police attempted to pull him over for a traffic violation on I-87 in Woodbury, said Trooper Tara McCormick. 6-Year-Old Playing In Street Injured During Shooting Between Teens In Westchester A 6-year-old boy shot in the chest in Westchester County is recovering in the hospital. The incident took place just after 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 29 in an area near 62 Ash. St., in Yonkers, said Yonkers Police Det. Lt. Dean Politopoulos. The child is in stable condition at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, according to Politopoulos. He added that the department has three juveniles suspects in custody and that two handguns were recovered from the scene. The child was playing when he was shot. This is a developing story. Man Arrested In Connection With Overdose Of Long Island Resident, Police Say A 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an alleged overdose of a Long Island resident. Donald Smith, of Valley Stream, was apprehended by Nassau County Police on Thursday, April 29, following a months-long investigation into the non-fatal overdose of an area resident, said the Nassau County Police.
