The Orangetown Police Department is offering some background information on the laws surrounding riding ATVs in an effort to help riders avoid tickets or have their vehicles impounded. The incident took place just before 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 27 in Amityville, at 299 S. Ketchum Ave. Once on the scene, firefighters found two boats on fire that were dry-docked next to a house, the Amityville Fire Department said.
