Good Samaritan Killed In Hit-Run While Assisting Disabled Car: Philly PD A 24-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run on Sunday night, Nov. 12, while he was stopped to help another driver, according to Philadelphia police. It happened on the 4800 block of Whitaker Avenue around 6 p.m., the department said. Ezequiel Morales was walking back to his car when he was hit by a white van that fled the scene. Morales was rushed to Albert Einstein Medical Center and pronounced dead just before 6:30 p.m., police said. NBC10 Philadelphia reported that the van was later found abandoned nearby. Gunman Gets Life In Prison For Murder Of Pennsylvania Dad A Philadelphia man convicted of killing his mother's ex-boyfriend will spend the rest of his life in prison, a Bucks County judge ruled last week. Kahlill Saleem Brown, 34, was convicted in July for the murder of 52-year-old Christopher M. Wilson. Lehigh Coroner Seeks Family Of Woman Found In Tent Authorities are searching for the next of kin for a woman who died in Allentown last week. Desiree Ann Serrano was found dead in a tent on the 300 block of West Gordon Street on Friday afternoon, Nov. 10, according to the Lehigh County Coroner's Office. She was 32. Her cause and manner of death are pending further investigation, but there are no suspicious circumstances, the Coroner's Office added. Philly Teen's Killer Spotted At Hookah Bar Before Slaying, Police Say The gunman who killed a teen near a Frankford hookah bar last month was spotted on video patronizing the bar just before the killing, according to city police. Philly Homicide Suspect Caught On Video: Authorities Philadelphia police have released new video footage that they say shows a double murderer. Authorities were called to the 500 block of West Pike Street for shots fired around 1 a.m. on Oct. 25, the department told Daily Voice. Pair Hurt In Shooting Incident At Berks County Bar, Say State Police First responders were called to a bar in Hamburg early Sunday morning after two people were struck by gunfire, according to state police. Coroner IDs Woman Killed In Route 33 Rollover Crash The driver who died on Route 33 in Bethlehem Township on Wednesday night, Nov. 8, was 40-year-old Surmaliz Valentin Ramos, authorities say. West Chester Man Attacked His Uber Driver: Authorities A West Chester man accused of attacking his Uber driver early Friday morning now faces criminal charges, say borough police. Investigators say Samuel A. Makowski assaulted the driver both inside and outside the car on the 500 block of South High Street around 2 a.m. Makowski, 19, is charged with strangulation, aggravated assault, simple assault, and related counts, the department said. He was remanded to the Chester County lockup in lieu of his $75,000 bond and is scheduled to appear before a judge on Nov. 21, according to state court records.
