Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

It happened around 3:35 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 8 in Old Brookville. Long Island Expressway Stretch Reopens After Fatal Plainview Crash This story has been updated. A stretch of the Long Island Expressway has reopened after a fatal crash. The closure, reported at around 3:40 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, in Nassau County, was on the westbound side in Plainview at Exit 46. All three lanes remained closed for nearly two hours during the crash investigation. Details on the crash, including the name of the victim, have not yet been released by Nassau County Police. Woman Charged After 23-Year-Old Killed In Hit-Run Crash At Riverhead Auto Dealership A suspect has been charged in connection to a fatal hit-and-run crash outside a Long Island auto dealership.
