Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Covid-19: CT Positive-Test Rate Climbs To 7.1 Percent, Highest Since Spring; Latest Data The overall positive rate of those being tested for COVID-19  in Connecticut has surpassed 7 percent as the number of new cases continues to climb at rates not seen since the spring. A total of 66,645 tests were administered on Wednesday, Dec. 2, and 4,751 came back positive (7.13 percent rate). A total of 1,191 patients are currently hospitalized statewide, a decrease of 11. ID Released For 21-Year-Old Killed In Shooting At Long Island Park The identity has been released of a man killed in a shooting at a Long Island park. The incident happened in Freeport at Martin Luther King Jr. Park on Stevens Street on Saturday, Nov. 28 at around 4:30 p.m. Upon police arrival, officers observed two men, 21 and 19 years of age, who were the victims of gunshot wounds.  The 21-year-old, now identified as Taffarie Haughton, of Freeport, was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by a staff physician.  The 19-year-old, who has not been identified, was also taken to an area hospital…
