Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Suspect At Large After Long Island Man Shot, Killed An investigation is underway after the shooting death of a Long Island man. It happened on Wednesday, Oct. 14 at about 6:30 a.m. in Coram. Sixth Precinct officers responded to a 911 call reporting a man was found on the ground in front of Fillmore Court with a gunshot wound, Suffolk County Police said. Charles Barker, 48, of Brentwood, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police Provide Description Of Mercedes Involved In Hit-Run Crash Near LI Shopping Center Police have provided a description of the vehicle involved in a hit-and-run crash near a busy Long Island shopping center in which a pedestrian was seriously injured. It happened on Sunday, Oct. 4 at approximately 9 p.m. near the entrance to the Central Islip Town Center. Covid-19: Two New Cases Reported At School District In Northern Westchester Two new cases of COVID-19 have been reported at one of the largest school districts in Northern Westchester. The Bedford Central School District said it learned of the cases -- one from Fox Lane Middle School and the other at Fox Lane High School -- on Tuesday, Oct. 13. Covid-19: CT Positive Testing Rate Soars To Highest Level Since June The positivity rate for COVID-19 testing in Connecticut jumped to 2.4 percent in the latest data reported on Tuesday, Oct. 13. That's the highest it's been since June. Of 13,398 tests on Monday, Oct. 12, 320 were positive (for the 2.4 percent positivity rate). Covid-19: Three States Added To NY/NJ/CT Quarantine List Travelers from three states have been added to the COVID-19 joint quarantine list of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. The new states added on Tuesday, Oct. 13 are Ohio, Michigan and Virginia. No areas have been removed from the advisory list of 36 states and two territories. Rain Could Change To Snow In Parts Of Region When New Storm System Sweeps Through A new storm system scheduled to sweep through the region could end as snow in some spots. The storm is due to arrive late in the afternoon or early in the evening Friday, Oct. 16 and continue into Saturday, Oct. 17. I-84 Stretch Reopens After Crash Involving Overturned Tractor-Trailer A crash involving an overturned tractor-trailer caused the hours-long closure of a stretch of I-84. The closure was on the eastbound side near Exit 4 in Danbury on Tuesday morning, Oct. 13. The crash occurred just after 6:30 a.m. and the lanes remain closed during the accident investigation by Connecticut State Police through about 10:30 a.m., when the lanes reopened. Suspect Nabbed After Teen Shot Outside Long Island Condominium Complex A suspect has been apprehended after a teenager was shot outside a Long Island condominium complex. The incident happened on Friday, Oct. 9 at 10:10 p.m. in Coram. A 19-year-old man was standing in front of 101 Aycock Place when he was shot in his side, Suffolk County Police said.
