Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

26-Year-Old Killed In Single-Vehicle Hudson Valley Crash A 26-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in the Hudson Valley. The crash happened just after 8:45 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, in Rockland County on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in the town of Orangetown. An investigation revealed that a 2010 Hyundai Elantra, being operated Anthonelli Ramos, of New York City, was traveling north on the PIP and was exiting at exit 9E at the time of the crash, police said. I-84 Stretch Reopens After Crash Involving Overturned Tractor-Trailer This story has been updated. A crash involving an overturned tractor-trailer caused the hours-long closure of a stretch of I-84. The closure was on the eastbound side near Exit 4 in Danbury on Tuesday morning, Oct. 13. The crash occurred just after 6:30 a.m. and the lanes remain closed during the accident investigation by Connecticut State Police through about 10:30 a.m., when the lanes reopened. Pedestrian Seriously Injured In Crash On Busy Long Island Roadway A pedestrian was seriously injured in an overnight crash on a busy Long Island roadway. The crash happened around 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 12 in Port Jefferson Station. A man was driving a 2015 Mitsubishi sedan southbound on Route 112, north of Wilson Street, when the vehicle struck the male pedestrian, Suffolk County Police said. The pedestrian was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. His name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. Long Island Man Accused Of Sexually Abusing Minor Over Three-Year Span A Long Island man has been arrested and charged with sexually abusing a minor over a three-year span. Suffolk County Police say that in addition to sexually abusing the female girl over the span of three years, the Huntington Station man also sent inappropriate messages to a second female child over the span of several months. Woman Found Dead In Wooded Area On Long Island An investigation is underway after a woman was found dead in a wooded area on Long Island. Suffolk County Police Sixth Precinct officers responded to a 911 call reporting a female body lying in a wooded area in Centereach off of Hawkins Road, near Eastwood Boulevard, at approximately 12:10 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11. Jaclyn D’Andrea, 33, of Bellmore, was pronounced dead by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner. Officer Hospitalized After Being Violently Attacked By Woman At Long Island Bar, Police Say An officer was hospitalized after being violently attacked by a woman at a Long Island bar overnight, according to police.
