Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Man Shot, Killed Outside Long Island Adult Club A suspect is at large after a man was shot and killed outside of a Long Island adult club overnight. It happened around 1:10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 23 in Bohemia. The man was standing in front of Temptations Gentlemen’s Club, located at 10 Carlough Road, when he was shot, Suffolk County Police said. The man, 27-year-old Darryl Stewart, was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where he was pronounced dead. Stewart's place of residence was not disclosed. Man Accused Of Exposing Himself To Teens Outside Of Long Island High School A man has been accused of exposing and touching himself in front of two teenagers outside a high school on Long Island. The incident happened at about 5:20 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 22 in East Meadow, according to Nassau County Police. Officers responded to the area of East Meadow High School at 101 Carmen Ave. for a report of a man exposing and touching himself in front of two female victims, ages 16 and 17, according to police. Covid-19: CDC Issues New Guidance On Reopening Schools A host of new guidance on reopening schools amid the COVID-19 pandemic has just been released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). More detailed recommendations on selected topics the CDC had previously only provided a few sentences on have now been added. Woman Killed After Car Crashes Into Pole At Busy Long Island Intersection A woman was killed after her car crashed into a utility pole at a busy Long Island intersection. The crash happened around 9:25 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22 in Massapequa. A 75-year-old woman was driving northbound on Unqua Road when her 2010 Toyota Prius left the roadway and struck the pole, Nassau County Police said. The woman was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead, police said. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending family notification. Suspect At Large After Fatal Shooting At Long Island Shopping Plaza A suspect is at large after a man was shot and killed at a small shopping plaza on Long Island. Suffolk County Police Second Precinct officers responded to a 911 call just before 6:20 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22 reporting a man was shot in front of 328 Depot Road in Huntington Station. Man Rescued From Sinking Kayak In Great South Bay A man was rescued after his kayak overturned and sank on the Great South Bay. David Kennedy, 52, of Patchogue, was paddling in a 12-foot Pelican kayak with a friend in another kayak when he was thrown overboard by a rogue wave Saturday, Aug. 22 at about 7:40 a.m. northeast of Watch Hill in Patchogue Bay, Suffolk County Police said.
