Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Man, Woman Clinging To Jet Ski Rescued Off Long Island Coast A man and woman clinging to a jet ski submerged on Long Island were rescued. The incident happened on Thursday, Aug. 13 at around 1:45 p.m. in Wantagh. According to Nassau County Police, while on routine patrol, Marine 1 spotted the two clinging to a jet ski that was submerged in Bellmore Channel.  Officers were able to pull the passengers, a 25-year-old woman, and a 25-year-old man, to safety.  Both individuals were transported to Wantagh Marina. Neither passenger suffered an injury.

ID Released For Man Killed In Wrong-Way Wantagh Parkway Crash The identity has been released of a person killed in a wrong-way crash on Long Island as well as for a man who was hospitalized. The crash happened on the Wantagh State Parkway just south of the Southern State Parkway in Wantagh at around 5:15 a.m. Thursday, Aug.13. Alexander Simek, 73, of Albrightsville, Pennsylvania, was driving a 2019 Chevrolet northbound in the southbound lanes when he struck a 2014 Honda, state police said.
