Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

New Tropical Storm In Atlantic: Latest Projected Five-Day Track Released For Josephine A new projected track has been released for the tropical storm that just formed in the Atlantic Ocean. The National Hurricane Center announced on Thursday, Aug. 13 that it upgraded Tropical Depression Eleven to Tropical Storm Josephine. On Friday morning, Aug. 14, Josephine's center is located over the Atlantic Ocean about 680 miles (1090 km) east-southeast of the northern Leeward Islands, the area where the northeastern Caribbean Sea meets the western Atlantic Ocean. Man, Woman Clinging To Jet Ski Rescued Off Long Island Coast A man and woman clinging to a jet ski submerged on Long Island were rescued. The incident happened on Thursday, Aug. 13 at around 1:45 p.m. in Wantagh. According to Nassau County Police, while on routine patrol, Marine 1 spotted the two clinging to a jet ski that was submerged in Bellmore Channel. Officers were able to pull the passengers, a 25-year-old woman, and a 25-year-old man, to safety. Both individuals were transported to Wantagh Marina. Neither passenger suffered an injury.

New Tropical Storm Forms In Atlantic: Here's Projected Five-Day Path A new tropical storm has just formed in the open Atlantic. The National Hurricane Center announced at around midday on Thursday, Aug. 13 that it has upgraded Tropical Depression Eleven to Tropical Storm Josephine. 16-Year-Old Accused Of Firing Gun At Vehicle In Area A 16-year-old boy has been charged for firing a gun at a vehicle in the area. The incident happened in the area near 29 North Hamilton Street in the City of Poughkeepsie late Friday morning, Aug. 7. No one was injured and the vehicle was not hit. A short time after the incident, the boy was located and arrested for firing at the vehicle. ID Released For Man Killed In Wrong-Way Wantagh Parkway Crash The identity has been released of a person killed in a wrong-way crash on Long Island as well as for a man who was hospitalized. The crash happened on the Wantagh State Parkway just south of the Southern State Parkway in Wantagh at around 5:15 a.m. Thursday, Aug.13. Alexander Simek, 73, of Albrightsville, Pennsylvania, was driving a 2019 Chevrolet northbound in the southbound lanes when he struck a 2014 Honda, state police said. Covid-19: High Percentage Of Those Infected With Virus Show No Symptoms, New Research Reveals An extraordinarily high percentage of COVID-19 infected people showed no symptoms of the disease, according to new research.
