Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Off-Duty Police Officer Rescues Man In Cardiac Arrest On Long Island An off-duty officer and other responding cops rescued a man who suffered cardiac arrest on Long Island. Off-duty Suffolk County Police Marine Bureau officer Michael Mason was walking through Port Jefferson Village with his wife around 3:45 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15 when he observed a 62-year-old man collapse and become unconscious at 200 East Broadway in Port Jefferson. Man Driving Drunk With Two Kids In Car Crashes Into Long Island Grocery Store, Police Say A man driving drunk with two children as passengers crashed his car into a Long Island grocery store, according to police. The incident happened just before 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 15 in Greenport. A Southold Town police officer was on routine patrol when a loud crash was heard. 22-Year-Old Passenger Killed After Car Crashes Into Tree In Area A 22-year-old passenger was killed after a car went off the road and crashed into a tree in the area. It happened around 3:40 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 16 in Sullivan County. A preliminary investigation revealed that a 2009 Toyota was traveling in the town of Thompson on Old Glen Wild Road when the the car failed to negotiate a curve and struck a tree, state police said. Man Found Shot Dead At Long Island Parking Lot A man was found shot dead at a parking lot on Long Island. Nassau County Police Third Precinct officers responded to the parking lot in Westbury at 445 Union Ave. just after 1 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 16 for a call of a person shot. Covid-19 Causing Heart Damage To Many Patients, New Findings Reveal COVID-19 is causing more heart damage than previously believed, according to new findings being highlighted by the American Heart Association. Injury to the heart and inflammation of the vascular system and occurs in 20 to 30 percent of all hospitalized COVID patients, with the heart damage resulting in 40 percent of COVID deaths, the AHA said. Man Fires Multiple Shots At Vehicle On Northern State Parkway, Police Say A shooting that occurred in broad daylight on a stretch of the Northern State Parkway is under investigation.
