Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Route 9A Reopens After Downed Tree Causes Closure This story has been updated. Two incidents caused motorists some mid-afternoon headaches in Northern Westchester. A stretch of Route 9A in Mount Pleasant has now reopened after a fallen tree led to its closure between Route 117 (Bedford Road) and Pleasantville Road. Farther north, a fully involved car initially blocked the right lane, causing delays on the northbound Taconic State Parkway at Baldwin Road in Yorktown in an incident reported at 2 p.m.

20-Year-Old Caught Trying To Cash Forged Check In Wappinger, Police Say DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. - A 20-year-old woman is facing felony charges after state police say she attempted to cash a forged check. An investigation revealed that Cassandra Smaine of the Bronx attempted to cash the check at a bank branch in the Town of Wappinger in May of 2016 and fled prior to police arrival, according to police. Smaine was charged with identity theft in the first degree and criminal possession of a forged instrument in the second degree, both Class D felonies.
