Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Popular New Rochelle School Teacher Lauren Denninger Dies At 43 Lauren Denninger of New Rochelle sadly died on Friday, Aug. 18. She was 43. She was born June 9, 1974 in New Rochelle to Allan and Margaret Denninger. She grew up in Bethel, Conn., before relocating to New Jersey where she graduated from Georgian Court University. Lauren receive double master's degrees in both Special Education and School Administration. Fatal Crash Leads To Hours-Long Hutchinson River Parkway Closure This story has been updated. A stretch of the Hutchinson River Parkway was closed for hours after a fatal, wrong-way motor-vehicle crash involving three vehicles early Sunday morning. Two injuries have also been reported, in addition to the one person killed, an unidentified woman who was driving one of the vehicles involved. The passenger in her car was seriously injured. Croton's Erica llescas, 23, Dies While Interning In Medicine In Panama Erica Andrea Illescas of Croton-on-Hudson died in a tragic accident while at the beach in Plenque, Panama on Aug. 6. She was 23. A recent graduate of the University of Connecticut, she was in Panama on an internship program. Erica had gone to Palenque to further explore Panama with a couple of her colleagues. While sitting at the shore, a wave came by and pulled her and some of her friends into the ocean. Though they were able to retrieve her body from the ocean and transport her to the nearest clinic, she was pronounced dead at 3 pm. She was born in Phelps Memorial Hospital in Sleepy Holl…

Tractor-Trailer Jack Knifes, Causing Fuel Spill At ShopRite In Croton An accident involving a jackknifed tractor-trailer resulted in a fuel spill Saturday morning at the ShopRite on South Riverside Avenue in Croton-on-Hudson.The tractor-trailer ruptured its fuel tank in the incident, causing the spill, according to the Croton-Harmon Fire Department. The Croton-Harmon FD and Montrose VAFD handled the spill, and the Westchester County Haz-Mat team was also on the scene.

Severe Thunderstorm, Flash Flood Watches In Effect For Armonk A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect for the Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess and Rockland counties until 9 p.m. Friday. A Flash Flood Watch is also in effect until 11 p.m. for Westchester and Rockland, where narrow bands of heavy showers could produce rainfall rates from 1 to 3 inches per hour as they move across the same area. Downed Tree Brings Down Two Poles, Causing Chestnut Ridge Road Closure ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- A portion of Summit Road in Chestnut Ridge is closed due to a tree falling on wires and pulling down two utility poles, Ramapo Police said on Friday.
