Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Car Crashes Into Pole In Mahopac PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- A driver declined medical attention after crashing into a pole just before noon on Sunday in Mahopac. Fire Damages Historic Carousel At Rye Playland UPDATED: RYE, N.Y. — Firefighters battled a blaze that broke out on top of the historic carousel while more than two dozen people were on the iconic ride at Playland in Rye late Sunday afternoon. The park remained open as firefighters from Rye, Harrison and Mamaroneck used extended ladders to reach the cupola to put out the flames, which had produced a significant amount of smoke. It is not immediately clear what caused the fire or whether there were any injuries. The roof of the carousel, a Playland mainstay since 1928, sustained damage as a result of the fire.

Rye resident Holly Simmons was arrested and charged after the 10:40 p.m. one-car crash in the town of Horicon, located about 25 miles north of Lake George.
