Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Yorktown Heights Man, 26, Killed In Two-Car LaGrange Crash An investigation is under way after a two-car crash claimed the life of a Yorktown Heights man in the Town of LaGrange in Dutchess County at approximately 11 p.m. on Wednesday. Hot, Steamy Conditions Will Usher In Strong Storms For Hudson Valley Hot and humid conditions Thursday will usher in locally heavy, gusty thunderstorms late Thursday in much of the Hudson Valley. Flash flooding is also possible, according to the National Weather Service. Thursday will be partly sunny with a high in the upper-80s. Man Sentenced In Fatal Doyle Park Shooting WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. - A Westchester County man has been sentenced to a term of between 20 years and life in prison after pleading guilty to fatally shooting a man in Doyle Park when an attempted armed robbery went awry last year. Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr. announced on Wednesday that 27-year-old Yonkers resident Robert Daniels has been sentenced after pleading guilty to a charge of second-degree murder in April. Two Millerton Men Charged In Town Of Poughkeepsie Hotel Shooting DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. - Two men from Millerton have been arrested and charged with robbery following a shooting at the Poughkeepsie Inn on Route 9 Tuesday afternoon, police announced Wednesday afternoon. Akbar McClennon, 31, and Jarrin Mayes, 28, were charged with five counts of first-degree robbery. The shooting was not a random act of violence and McClennon and Mayes are known to the victim and to witnesses at the scene, police said. Seen Him? Dover Plains Man's Disappearance Remains Mystery State Police are seeking the public’s assistance to help solve a 27-year-old cold case involving a missing Dover Plains man, Louis Reyes. Louis Reyes was reported missing on Nov. 11, 1989 from the Harlem Valley Psychiatric Center where he was being treated on a voluntary basis for a mental disability. He was last seen at the Harlem Valley Psychiatric Center on Nov. 10, 1989, wearing a blue or gray sweatshirt and jeans. Tractor-Trailer Overturns, Blocking Lane On I-287 This story has been updated. A crash involving an overturned tractor-trailer lead to the closure of one lane on westbound I-287 throughout the Tuesday morning commute. The crash, which occurred just before 6 a.m. at Exit 10 (Route 120A/Bowman Avenue), originally resulted in the closure of all lanes before one lane, two lanes and then all three lanes reopened. Vote Now: Should New TZB Bikeway/Walkway Be Named For Pete Seeger? The state legislature's approval late last month of a measure to name the new Tappan Zee Bridge after former Gov. Mario Cuomo drew much reaction after Cuomo's son, current Gov. Andrew Cuomo, proposed the name change.
