Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Woman Recovering After Being Hit By Vehicle In Yonkers This story has been updated. WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- An elderly woman who was hit by a motor vehicle on Yonkers Avenue in Yonkers on Saturday is recovering. The incident occurred on the 700 block when the woman was crossing the street at around noontime.  Cardiopulmonary resuscitation was administered before the unidentified woman was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center, authorities said.  The Yonkers fire and police departments responded.  An investigation of the accident is ongoing.

Bill Casey Of Mahopac, Former Ossining Teacher, Baseball Coach, Dies At 46 WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Former Ossining High School baseball coach Bill Casey, a Mahopac resident who grew up in Pleasantville, died Friday after battling cancer. He was 46. Casey, who was a middle-school teacher in Ossining since 2004, had earlier worked as a sportswriter in Westchester. The Pleasantville High School graduate was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma in October 2014. Funeral arrangements have not yet been finalized. Casey leaves behind a wife, Kelly, and 4-year-old twins.
