Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

It's A Girl! Yonkers Fire Department Assists In Special Delivery YONKERS, N.Y. -- The Yonkers Fire Department quickly responded Sunday morning after a report of a woman going into labor. Engine 306 and Empress Ambulance Services assisted with the delivery of a healthy baby girl just after 9:30 a.m. "They then cared for the mother and the newborn and assisted in patient packaging until the mother and baby were transported to the hospital," said Thomas F. Motorist Escapes With Minor Injuries After Car Overturns On Route 17 This story has been updated. ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- A serious motor vehicle crash involving an overturned vehicle resulted in the closure of a stretch of Route 17 between Sloatsburg and Hillburn in Rockland on Sunday morning. Jackknifed Tractor-Trailer Ties Up Traffic On NYS Thruway In Ramapo A jackknifed tractor-trailer is causing gridlock on a stretch of the New York State Thruway on Sunday in Ramapo. The incident occurred on the southbound side and includes a fuel spill, and was reported at 5:20 p.m. at Exit 14A (southbound Garden State Parkway connector), with stopped traffic at the scene and the right lane blocked and stop-and-go delays to the Spring Valley tolls. College Student From Pearl River Dies After Apparent Fall From Building A college student from the Hudson Valley died Saturday afternoon after he reportedly fell from a building during a party in the City of Binghamton. Conor Donnelly, a Binghamton University freshman from Pearl River, died accidentally off campus, the university said in a statement.
