Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Woman Struck, Killed By Car Near Farmingdale Intersection A woman was killed after being struck by a car on a Long Island roadway overnight. It happened around 8:10 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21 in Farmingdale. A 73-year-old woman was walking on Fulton Street from the south to the north side just west of Main Street when she was struck by a Toyota traveling westbound on Fulton Street, Nassau County Police said. The male driver, age 18, of the Toyota remained at the scene. Selden Woman Killed After Compact SUV Overturns In Yaphank, Infant Daughter Avoids Injury Police are investigating a fatal overnight crash that left a Long Island woman dead. It happened around 1:20 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 22 in Yaphank. The woman was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer, with her 1-year-old daughter as a passenger, on the southbound William Floyd exit ramp to Express Drive North when she lost control of the vehicle, crashed through a chain link fence, overturned, and came to a stop in the woods off the roadway, Suffolk County Police said. Midweek Storm Will Be Second To Sweep Though Region This Week: Here's Latest On Both Back-to-back storms will sweep through the region in the span of days, bringing separate rounds of rain, sleet, and snow. ID Released For Man Killed In 2-Vehicle Hudson Valley Crash The identity's been released of a man killed in a crash on Friday afternoon, Jan. 20 on a Hudson Valley roadway. 3 Hospitalized After Crash Involving Mercedes, SUV On Northern State Parkway In North Hempstead Three people were hospitalized, one with serious injuries, after a two-vehicle crash on the Northern State Parkway. It happed just before 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20 near Exit 32 in the town of North Hempstead. The driver of a 2004 Mercedes-Benz was traveling eastbound when he struck a 2014 Nissan Pathfinder, causing the Mercedes to overturn, according to New York State Police. Alert Issued For Missing 16-Year-Old From Naugatuck A 16-year-old Connecticut boy has gone missing and authorities are asking for the public's help in locating him. Dylan Ragusa was last seen on Thursday, Jan. 19 in Naugatuck in the area of Rubber Avenue. He's about 5-foot-3, 145 pounds with sandy blond hair and blue eyes, according to the Naugatuck Police Department, noting he was last seen wearing a gray hoodie, Adidas pants, and a black backpack. 33-Year-Old Woman Killed After Compact SUV Crashes Down Embankment, CT State Police Say Connecticut State Police are investigating an overnight crash that left a 33-year-old woman dead. It happened around 1:15 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21 in Hartford County. A 2015 Nissan Rogue was traveling in Glastonbury on Route 2 westbound, east of Exit 8, in the left lane of two when the driver lost control of vehicle, according to Connecticut State Police. T-Mobile says it's "currently in the process of informing impacted customers that after a thorough investigation, we have determined that a bad actor used a single Application Programming Interface (or API) to obtain limited types of information on their accounts."
