Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Police ID Man Killed In Crash On Long Island Expressway In North Hills Police have identified a man killed in a crash on the Long Island Expressway. It happened around 3:15 a.m. Friday, July 8 in the village of North Hills in the Town of North Hempstead. A 1996 dump truck was traveling eastbound in the right lane of the expressway at Exit 36 when it was struck from behind by a 2013 Mack Truck tractor-trailer, causing the dump truck to overturn, Nassau County Police said.  The dump truck was being operated by a 59-year-old man who was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead at around 4:15 a.m. by a staff physician due to the injuries…

Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued With 60-70 MPH Wind Gusts, 1-Inch Hail, Lightning Possible A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is now in effect for much of the region as a potent system moves from west to east. The watch went into effect Tuesday, July 12 at 5 p.m. and lasts until 10 p.m. Hail up to 1-inch in diameter and wind gusts of between 60 and 70 miles per hour are possible, the National Weather Service said. ID Released For 30-Year-Old Killed In Hit-Run Island Park Crash Police have identified the victim of a fatal hit-and-run crash near a Long Island intersection. It happened around 9:05 p.m. Monday, July 11 in Island Park. A 30-year-old man was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound on Long Beach Road, north of Marina Place, Nassau County Police said.  The vehicle fled the scene.
