Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

It happened just before 6 p.m. Friday, July 8 in North Bay Shore. School District In Hudson Valley Names New Superintendent A school district in the Hudson Valley has just named a longtime educator in the region as its new superintendent. In Ulster County, the Marlboro Board of Education announced that it has appointed Michael Rydell as the district’s new superintendent of schools. Detours On Long Island Expressway Stretch Expected To Last For A Month, DOT Says Detours on a stretch of the Long Island Expressway are expected to last a month during roadwork. The New York State Department of Transportation announced on Friday, July 8 that beginning Monday, July 11, westbound traffic on the expressway will be detoured onto the North Service Road from Exit 64 (State Route 112) to Exit 61 (Patchogue-Holbrook Road/Suffolk County Route 19) in the Town of Brookhaven. It happened around 3:15 a.m. Friday, July 8 in the village of North Hills in the Town of North Hempstead. Two Store Clerks Charged During Underage Drinking Detail In Northern Westchester, Putnam Two store clerks were charged during an Underage Drinking Initiative in Westchester and Putnam counties. 16-Year-Old North Amityville Girl Injured In Shooting Police are investigating a shooting that injured a teenager overnight. It happened just after 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 6 in North Amityville. Two groups of females were engaged in a verbal dispute on Cahill Street when one of them fired a shot from a handgun, Suffolk County Police said.
