Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Mamaroneck Village Delicatessen Broken Into Overnight MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- Village of Mamaroneck police are investigating a break-in late Wednesday of a delicatessen at 1023 West Boston Post Road. Sgt. Sandra DiRuzza said there was a 911 call about 11 p.m. reporting a possible burglary at Village Deli. Officers responded to the location, DiRuzza said, and observed the front window of the establishment to be damaged and a cash register was laying on the ground.
