Murder Charge For NJ Woman After 66-Year-Old Man Stabbed Dead: Prosecutor A 45-year-old Raritan Township woman was arrested and charged with murder after stabbing a 66-year-old man dead on Wednesday, Feb. 21, authorities said. At 1:40 a.m., police responded to the 100 block of Manchester Road and found Steven Spivey dead and having suffered a stab wound, Hunterdon County Prosecutor Renée Robeson and Raritan Township Police Chief Alfred Payne said. 17 Firearms, High-Capacity Mags Seized In Raid Of Morris County Man's Home: Prosecutor A 54-year-old Denville man was arrested and charged on Tuesday, Feb. 6 with possessing and selling defaced firearms, authorities said. Robert Klaar sold the defaced gun in Denville in January 2024, Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll, Chief of Detectives Robert McNally and Denville Chief of Police Frank Perna said. NJ Man Ran Ghost Gun Ring Out Of His Basement: Prosecutor A 33-year-old Morris County man was arrested and charged with manufacturing and selling ghost guns from his Warren County basement on Thursday, Feb. 8, authorities said. Eddie Negron, Longtime North Jersey Detective, Dies At 46 Eddie Negron, a longtime police officer who worked in East Newark and the Essex County Prosecutor's Office, died on Saturday Feb. 10 in Philadelphia at the age of 46, according to his obituary. Born in Hoboken, Negron joined the East Newark Police Department in July 1998 and moved to the Essex County Prosecutor's Office as a detective in 2005, later achieving the rank of sergeant. PA Man Steals $40K In Jewelry From Morris County Home: Police A 34-year-old man from Albrightsville, Pa. man was arrested and charged on Thursday, Feb. 15 after he stole $40,000 in jewelry from a house in Morris County, NJ police said. The man, who was not identified by Washington Township police, was arrested after an investigation into the theft from a Long Valley home, officers said. Bayonne Wrestling Coach Recovering From Kidney Transplant Sees Surge Of Support Jerome Otis-Harris, the wrestling coach at Bayonne High School, is seeing a surge of support after recovering from a kidney transplant last year. A fundraiser has been created to assist Otis-Harris after he received a kidney transplant in November, while he continues to battle focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, a chronic condition that causes scarring in the kidney. Six Injured In Route 80 Three-Car Crash: State Police Six people were injured in a three-car crash on Route 80 over the weekend. At 8:53 p.m., a Toyota, a Dodge and a Chevrolet were traveling westbound on Route 80 in Allamuchy Township when the Toyota lost directional control and struck a guardrail Saturday evening, Feb. 17, Jeffrey Lebron of the New Jersey State Police said. The Dodge attempted to change lanes and avoid the Toyota, but was subsequently struck by the Chevrolet.
