Plainfield Man Indicted In Fatal Shooting Of Star Football Player: Prosecutors A 23-year-old Plainfield man was indicted by a grand jury for murder in the shooting death of a former college football player last August. Maurice Pierce shot Jameer Outsey, of Bridgewater, on North Broad Street and Magnolia Avenue in Elizabeth on Aug. 27, Union County Prosecutor William A. 13-Year-Old Boy Shot In Newark: Authorities A 13-year-old boy is in stable condition after being shot in Newark on Wednesday, Dec. 20, authorities said. At 10:43 a.m., police responded to the 100 block of Leslie Street on a report of shots fired, and found the boy at Grand Avenue, Newark Public Safety Director, Fritz Fragé said. The boy had been shot at Leslie Street and was taken to University Hospital, Fragé said. The shooting resulted in a brief lockdown at Bragaw Avenue School, Fragé said. The incident remains under investigation, Fragé said.

NJ Transit Officers Stop Suicidal Jumper In Hoboken New Jersey Transit Police helped save a person in distress in Hoboken recently. A person had crossed over a safety railing at Hoboken Terminal, aiming to jump into the Hudson River, police said. Police used physical restraint to prevent the person from jumping, while engaging in dialogue with the person, officers said. Man Stabbed In Head: Newark Police Newark police are attempt to locate a person wanted for stabbing a man in the head on Tuesday, Dec. 19. Support Swells For Little Falls Woman Who Lost Beloved Cat In Fire Kendall Pappas lost everything, including her treasured cat, Clara, when her apartment in Little Falls caught fire on Monday, Dec. 11. 16-Year-Old Arrested For Stabbing 18-Year-Old In Jersey City: Prosecutors A 16-year-old boy was arrested on Wednesday, Dec. 20 and charged with stabbing an 18-year-old in Jersey City last week, prosecutors said.
