Driver Rams NJ State Police Vehicles, Switches Cars On Route 78: Cops A driver who crashed into multiple state police vehicles in Whippany Township remains at large after leading a brief pursuit before abandoning his vehicle and getting into another on Route 78, Monday, Nov. 20, authorities said. Series Of Misfortune: NJ Family Displaced By Fire While Dad Battles Cancer The Piscataway community is coming together to help a family that has been put through the ringer. Sreedhar Chinnapidi, a respiratory therapist, was recently diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing surgery and radiation. While battling cancer, the family's home on Forest Drive was damaged in a three-alarm fire on Monday, Nov. 13. The family has also recently lost their grandmother. ShopRite Opens In Shuttered Elmwood Park K-Mart Attention, K-Mart shoppers in Bergen County. You have a new place to shop. ShopRite celebrated its grand opening at 180 Broadway in Elmwood Park on Friday, Nov. 17. The location is the site of a former K-Mart, which shuttered in 2018 and was completely rebuilt by ShopRite. The 60,000 square foot store is run by Inserra Supermarkets and features a bakery, prepared food, a butcher, and seafood, deli and floral departments.

Firefighters Battle Heavy Blaze At Skylands Stadium In Sussex County: Authorities An electrical fire caused heavy smoke as firefighters extinguished a two-alarm blaze at Skylands Stadium on Friday, Nov. 17, authorities said. Firefighters responded to a report of heavy smoke at Skylands Stadium and found dark smoke coming from the clubhouse section of the stadium just before 10 p.m., the Franklin Township Fire Department said. Teen Seriously Hurt In Head-On Sussex County Crash An 18-year-old suffered serious injuries in a head-on crash that also injured two people on Route 284 in Wantage Township on the afternoon of Saturday, Nov. 18, authorities said.
