Jersey Shore Man Wanted After Arizona Pursuit Near Mexico Border: Authorities A Monmouth County man on federal probation eluded authorities in Arizona after engaging police in a vehicle pursuit on Tuesday, Nov. 7. At 9:56 p.m., police in Wilcox, a town in Cochise County, attempted to stop a 2023 Telluride that was driving at a high rate of speed. 'Friday the 13th' Mask Wearing Suspect Attempts Break-In: Verona PD A suspect wearing a "Friday the 13th"-style mask was one of two people who attempted to burglarize a residence in Verona on Saturday, Nov. 11, police said. At 3 a.m., two unknown burglars tried to gain entry to a residence on Claremont Avenue through the front door, rear door and windows on both sides of the house, police said. Newark High Schooler Shot During Gas Leak Evacuation: Reports A 15-year-old standing outside Central High School during a gas leak evacuation was wounded in a drive-by shooting on Monday, Nov. 13, according to multiple news reports including abc7 and NBC4. 16-Year-Old Killed, Two Injured In Newark Crash: Authorities A 16-year-old teenage boy was killed and two others injured after their stolen car collided with a garbage truck in Newark on Friday, Nov. 10, authorities said. Elizabeth Man Robbed 7-Eleven At Gunpoint: Police Good things come to those who wait. A 29-year-old Elizabeth man was arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 8 for robbing a 7-Eleven at gunpoint in Linden in May 2020, authorities said.
