Bergen County High Schools Mourn Loss Of Beloved 'Coach H'
Jeff Horohonick -- a beloved and accomplished North Jersey high school softball coach -- died on Sept. 27. He was 60 years old. Those who knew him say his death was a combination of COVID-19 and complications of heart failure. Horohonich -- affectionately known as "Coach H" -- worked as a softball and girls basketball coach at Immaculate Heart and Lodi Immaculate. Lancaster Man Stabbed Blood-Covered Victim With Adjustable Wrench, Police Say
A 43-year-old man was arrested for stabbing a victim with an adjustable wrench last month in Lancaster County, authorities said. A blood-covered man told arriving Manor Township officers that Justin Warner raised a knife and threatened to kill him on the 2900 block of Charlestown Road, on Sept. 18, local police said. Warner then fled the scene in a GMC Safari, authorities said. He was located by police later that day, waived his rights and was interviewed, police said. Deadly Crash Possibly Due To Drag Racing Closes Harrisburg Intersection
A deadly crash closed a Harrisburg street Friday night, dispatch officials confirmed. The crash was reported on North Cameron and Market streets around 9:30 p.m. Initial and unconfirmed reports say the incident was a result of drag racing. Woman Wanted In NJ Parking Lot Murder Captured In PA, Authorities Say
A 39-year-old woman has been charged with killing a 34-year-old man whose body was found in a Newark parking lot late last month, authorities said. Stephanie Martinez was captured on video and identified as a suspect in the 8:58 a.m. killing of Raul Rios on Sept. 28, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, and Newark Public Safety Director Brian A. O’Hara said. Rios' body was found in a parking lot on the 400 block of Springfield Avenue in Newark. 35-Year-Old Driver Dead In Route 78 Crash
A 35-year-old man died after his vehicle overturned and struck a tree Friday on Interstate 78 in Somerset County. Stephan Tarnowsky was heading west when his Ford Crown Victoria went off the road and struck a tree around 11:15 a.m. near milepost 36.5 in Warren, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Alejandro Goez said. The Washington (Warren County) resident was airlifted to Morristown Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead. The crash remains under investigation.

Police Release Composite Sketch Of Central Jersey Sexual Assault Suspect
Authorities have released a composite sketch of a weapon-wielding suspect sought in the sexual assault of a woman walking in Delaware and Raritan Canal State Park on Tuesday. The woman was walking on a path adjacent to the canal when she was approached by the man between 4:30 and 5 p.m., Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said alongside local police. The man apparently took the woman to a different location on the Plainsboro-South Brunswick border, where he sexually assaulted her, authorities said. NJ Company's Experimental COVID Drug Could Be Major Game-Changer
New Jersey drug manufacturer Merck & Co. and Ridgeback Biotherapeutics on Friday said the new experimental COVID-19 drug significantly reduces hospitalization time and chance of death for 50 percent of patients with mild to moderate cases. Authorities in Norristown are seeking a man wanted in connection with a carjacking, they said. Brian Islas-Cervantes is wanted for an armed car jacking that occurred on Sept. 26, at around 11:20 a.m., at 512 Janeway Dr., local police said.
