Bayonne Medical Center ER Nurse Assaulted By 'Violent' Jersey City Patient, Police Say A 27-year-old Jersey City was arrested for assault a nurse at Bayonne Medical Center's emergency room Saturday evening, authorities said. Amanda Rivers had come to the hospital for treatment when she became angered and violent, pushing the 34-year-old nurse around 11:50 p.m., Bayonne Police Capt. Eric Amato said. The nurse hit her head on a wall as a result, Amato said. Rivers was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, police said.

SUV Driver Shot In Lower Merion Crash Critical An SUV driver was in critical condition after being shot a Lower Merion crash, 6abc News reports. The 29-year-old driver had just collided with another vehicle at City Avenue and Monument Road around 11:40 p.m. Saturday, according to the outlet and initial police reports. Woman's Body Found In Hoboken Parking Garage An autopsy will officially determine how an Elizabeth woman whose body was found in a Hoboken parking garage over the Memorial Day weekend died, authorities said. City police called to the Hudson Street garage on Second Street on a report of an unresponsive woman shortly after 6 a.m. Sunday found found the body of Jazzlyn Teron, 34, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. “This appears to be an isolated incident,” Suarez, suggesting there was no wrongdoing on the part of anyone else. Search Continues For Missing Appalachian Trail Hiker John Dunnam Police in Pennsylvania on Sunday were still looking for missing hiker John Dunnam. Dunnam, 57, was last seen Tuesday in a section of the Appalachian Trail, PA State Police say. Particularly, Dunnam was near Chimney Rocks between the Deer Lick Shelter and the Rocky Mountain shelters when he was last seen, authorities said. He was wearing a gray shirt, blue hiking pants, carrying a green backpack and two trekking poles, state police said. If seen, call 717-249-2121 or 911.

Hit-and-run: Person Struck, Killed By Car In Trenton A person was struck and killed by a car in an apparent hit-and-run crash in Trenton Sunday morning. The incident occurred around 8:10 a.m. near Roebling and S. Clinton avenues, initial reports say. Authorities did not immediately return Daily Voice's request for comment.

74-Year-Old Man Dead In Reading Fire (Photos, Videos) A 74-year-old man died in a Reading fire overnight, the Berks County Coroner announced. Eustaquio Torres Cruz was rescued from the building at 327 Linden St., after the blaze broke out around 12:30 a.m., Acting Berks County Coroner Jonn Hollenbach said. He was and rushed to a local hospital, where he died about an hour later of smoke inhalation, the coroner said.
